Target RedCard vs. Target Circle

Target Circle is not to be confused with Target RedCard, the store's credit or debit card. When you sign up for a Target RedCard credit or debit card, you'll earn a 5% discount every time you purchase at Target, whether in stores, online or through the Target app.

The following are some of the other Target RedCard advantages:

• Target offers free two-day shipping

• Returns and exchanges are allowed for an additional 30 days

• Offers that are unique

If you have a Target RedCard, Target Circle will be added to your account automatically. The savings, however, do not add up. You'll get 5% off your Target purchases if you have a Target RedCard, instead of — and not in addition to — earning 1% in points.

Target Circle awards must be redeemed during a subsequent visit, which is one of the major differences between the two schemes. A Target RedCard, on the other hand, gives you 5% off your current purchase right away.
