There are many things sacrosanct to us beauty nerds, but the Sephora VIB/Beauty Insider Sale is one of the most significant. The Sephora Beauty Insider sale, a mega-savings event that allows you to purchase some of the industry's finest beauty items at a fraction of the retail value, doesn't happen very often... so when it does, you need to shop.

Fortunately for you, we are well-versed in Sephora's sale calendar. Unfortunately, the majority of the 2022 Sephora Beauty Insider specials have already passed, but we have some insider recommendations (see what we did there?) for when you can expect to save on beauty purchases throughout the rest of the year. How Do Sephora Sales Work?

Sephora is known for doing things a bit differently. With the exception of its Oh Snap!, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday specials, Sephora products are usually reserved to Beauty Insider rewards programme members. This may appear to be unfair, but joining the Sephora Beauty Insider programme is actually quite simple. And *anyone* is welcome to participate!

How To Join The Sephora Beauty Insider Program

Joining the Sephora Beauty Insider rewards programme takes only seconds (we timed it!). is completely free, and there is no minimum expenditure to qualify. So there is practically no reason not to participate! But there are hundreds of reasons *to* join, and one of the best is having access to the highly anticipated Sephora VIB/Beauty Insider Sales!

What Is The Sephora VIB/Insider Sale?

Sephora's Insider Sale is a way for the retailer to thank its most devoted customers: the Insiders. Insiders get points on all Sephora purchases, whether online or in-store. It's a tiered programme that begins with Insider and progresses to the second tier of VIB (or, Very Important Beauty) and finally to the top tier, Rouge, as you shop and accumulate points. (We'll go into more detail about this later.)

How Much Can I Save At The Sephora VIB Insider Sale?

During the Insider sales events, Insiders earn 10% off, VIB members receive 15% off, and Rouge members receive a staggering 20% off their beauty items.

Here's some more information, as promised. The Sephora Beauty Insider programme has three tiers:

Sephora Insider - When new members join Sephora Beauty Insider, they are automatically upgraded to Insider level, and they can earn 1 point back on all Sephora purchases. Most exclusive Sephora Beauty Insider sale events, such as the Sephora Spring Sale and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale, are only available to Insider-level members. Pretty great for a basic membership that takes only seconds to join and requires no minimum spend!

Sephora VIB - Members get VIB status after spending over $350 at Sephora in a calendar year. You will receive 1.25 points for your VIB status, as well as access to all Sephora Beauty Insider sale events, including the Sephora Spring Sale, Summer Bonus Sale, and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale.

Sephora Rouge - Members receive the coveted VIB Rouge designation after spending $1,000 at Sephora in a calendar year. Rouge membership entitles you to 1.5 points every dollar spent at Sephora and, best of all, *early* access to Sephora Beauty Insider special events such as the Sephora Spring Sale, Summer Bonus Sale, and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale. We know we're not the only ones that aspire to be VIB Rouge!

When Is The Next Sephora Summer VIB Event?

While there has been a Sephora Summer VIB event in August in prior years, a Sephora representative confirmed to SheFinds that there will be no August Insider sale in 2022. But all is not lost because there are still plenty of other money-saving activities happening this year, so keep reading to learn more!

Sephora 2022 Sales Calendar

To summarise, some of the 2022 Sephora Insider sales have passed, but it is critical to maintain track of the dates of savings events in order to be prepared for next year. Check out what other sale dates are coming up for the rest of the year:

September - Sephora Oh Snap! Fall Edition Sale Similar to the spring Sephora Oh Snap! Sale, the fall version is a great time to stock up on your favourite fall items. The makeup-bag-upgrading possibilities are endless, from darker lip colours to smokey eye tints to tinted moisturisers to compensate for the fact that we are receiving less sun.

October - Sephora National Brow Day Sale in to coincide with National Brow Day on October 2nd, this one-day event offers buyers the opportunity to score some amazing savings on brow products. Sephora featured a 50% off Benefit Cosmetics Brow Microfilling Eyebrow Pen last year, as well as two Huda Beauty Microshade Brow Pencils for $25. We're not sure what things will be included in this year's sale, but we're excited to find out!

November - Is a hectic month! The first is Sephora's VIB Holiday Bonus Sale, which is open to all membership tiers and includes discounts on most items both online and in-store. We anticipate that it will begin early in the month, as it did last year on November 5th and terminate on November 15th.

Then there's the Sephora Black Friday Sale, which is open to everyone, not just Beauty Insider members, and the Cyber Monday Sale, which takes place on the Monday after Thanksgiving and is also open to everyone. Savings are frequently substantial (don't be surprised if you find 50% off your favourites), but quantities are usually extremely limited, so if you see something you want, act quickly!

December - Sephora's Beauty For All Sale is the early Christmas gift we didn't realise we needed! It takes place in December, and all Beauty Insiders can participate in this event, which offers 20% off your total purchase and 30% off the Sephora Collection. Wow! This is a brand-new event, having debuted last December 3rd and running through December 12th. Keep a watch out for official date announcements, as we expect it to run in early December again this year!
